decoration of an object, starched/stiffened
i thought i'll make another bowl, but now with flowers. it looked like this.
i thought i'll make another bowl, but now with flowers. it looked like this.
but it did not dry, despite a prolonged attempt with my hairdryer. after two days it was still not dry and let's not talk about the odeur. i have washed the flowers and now they wait in a vase on a better destination. this paste is great for yarn, but crocheted flowers are too thick. and here in holland the weather was also quite wet.
the other white flowers of which i have 71 ... i have an idea. it struck me when i got the suggestion for a table runner, it will be something quite different. have some patience, unless you have four extra hands for me?
necklaces
the necklaces with flowers will work, but it will take a while before they are ready.
the white squares
with the white blocks i'm still busy. i sew them together with cross stitches and the blocks themselves, i decorate with embroidery. it's a pretty big project and no square is ready yet.
while embroidering i was reminded of a colleague who i had in eighties. she bought sweaters and embroidered motifs such as flowers on them, very beautiful. i had not much attention to it because i was doing my first big project: a crochet bedspread.
embroidery gives my hands a rest from all the crocheting and i notice that my hands a little less stiff and painful. not bad, right?
square bag
and then finally my square bag. it was a puzzle, but except for only one all the parts are ready. i have measured and pinned everything and now i need the courage to sew it all together. on the second picture you can see the fabric i will use to line the bag.
to be continued.
